The Stapleton Area Transportation Management Association (TMA) invites you to the inaugural NE Walk Fest! Join us for an inspiring and fun day of walking activity in two northeast Denver neighborhoods on Saturday, August 24th! Participants will be encouraged to walk from 33rd & Holly in NE Park Hill on a suggested and well supported 1.5-2hour walking loop. Participants can opt to start and stop where and when they choose. Participants must check-in to receive an event bracelet, route map and goodie bag.
This year’s NE Walk Fest event is designed to encourage destination-oriented walking behavior within and between Park Hill and Stapleton neighborhood. By partnering with local businesses and a spectrum of community organizations, NE Walk Fest aims to raise awareness that walking creates more vibrant and safe neighborhoods while improving personal, social and communal health. We hope this event will encourage increased practical trip walking behavior to and from retail centers, recreation areas and public transit stops.
Our event will officially kick-off at 9AM at 33rd & Holly (NE Park Hill). Check-in will open at 8:30AM and walking can begin anytime starting at 9AM. Our event will end at 1PM. We have many themed walking trips taking place throughout the day such as Walk with City Council Member Albus Brooks, Urban Herb Walk, Historic Colorado Walk, Literary Walk and more. Click here for more details on the walking trips. We will also have a fun chalk art program for kids happening from 9AM-1PM at our Holly Street event hub.
All participants must register for the NE Walk Fest.
